Education is the acquisition of the art of how to utilize the knowledge. This is an art very difficult to impart. We must beware of what I call “inert ideas” that is to say, ideas that are merely received into the mind without being utilized or tested.

Teacher is supposed to motivate the children to have an access to this vast knowledge by using latest techniques that will require skill as the part of the teacher. Skill of effective communication through latest techniques so that student grasp the content, follow the trend, understand the concept. This means to bring about inner change of the attitudes of teachers towards knowledge, teaching profession and the morality of teacher's profession. Modern Education College Annandale, Shimla-3 is a premier institute imparting teacher education. It is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla and it is approved by the "National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)" vide letter No. F.NRC/NCTE/F-7/HP-218/2007 dated 13 September, 2007.

The institute strives to provide a healthy learning environment, induces competitive spirit and develops leadership qualities. This College was started in the year of 2007 and now I am glad to mention that this college is conducting teachers training programme smoothly in the heart of the Shimla. It has lot of plans for future in the field work in schools of teacher, education research, methodology, and also in the field of value education and moral development of the students and teacher also.

Our concerted effort is to help our students to groom into teachers who can meet the requirement of today's Hi-Tech educational system.
